El Rachum

El Rachum – Compassionate (merciful) God: Deuteronomy 4:31 “For the LORD your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them.” This name expresses how much God acts as our Father. He is rich in compassion and mercy- He does not want to see His children fall. We can know that our prayers, and our tears, will never be wasted. The God of compassion hears them and is merciful so we may not be distressed. Let us, in turn, have ears to hear and eyes to see the world in compassion the way our Father does.
