When they had approached Jerusalem and had come to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied there and a colt with it. Untie them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them on immediately.” Now this took place so that what was spoken through the prophet would be fulfilled: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold your King is coming to you, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’” The disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them, and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their cloaks on them; and He sat on the cloaks. Matthew 21:1-7
Our LORD continually speaks to us through the physical world. Though we look at everything for its face value, the LORD’s Spirit resounds with unending life and depth of meaning through His physical creation. When Yeshua walked on earth He continually spoke in parables, so that His disciples would awaken to spiritual realities through what they knew to be true in the physical world that surrounded them.
Recently the Holy Spirit softly and subtly released a picture of a donkey that walked along side of me on my left side. The LORD revealed that as I was sojourning this “Donkey” was constantly at my left side, walking with me toward my destination. The Donkey quietly spoke, “Won’t you throw your load on My back?” At that very moment I saw that the donkey, in a spirit sense, was actually Yeshua. The donkey was a gentle, faithful servant to me that was ALWAYS at my side as I traversed through life in pursuit of completing Father’s purpose for me on earth. As donkeys serve to carry loads, so Yeshua is there to carry our loads, if we will only throw our packs onto His back. Throughout each day, open your spiritual eyes to see your faithful, consistent Yeshua ready at your side to carry your load, if you will but throw the pack upon His back.
