As we head into more headwinds of the End Times, none of us escape the negativity that seeks to entangle us and defeat us with thoughts and words of doom and destruction. Fear grips each of us every day. But outside of a freeing, righteous fear of God, fear is not of the LORD. How can we fear not, when continually faced with threats of illness, death, and losing positive relationships with loved ones, friends, and coworkers?! The LORD says, “Thanksgiving!” Wow, what a crazy thought in the face of threats to our wellbeing on every side! But I challenge you during this month of November, while we celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA, to retrain your brain to look for all the sights, sounds and stimuli around you that reveal the positive, life-giving hand of God. Yes, it does not matter what your circumstance is, the beautiful, life-giving God of creation is surrounding you every moment. Look, listen and thank Him. “Thank You, LORD, that I am still alive to complete Your plan for my life. Thank You, Father, for sending Jesus and Your Holy Spirit, that I know I am not alone. Thank You for the warming sun and the cleansing rains.” As we look to see and discover the Face of God and His goodness that is occurring every moment all around us, we will discover endless blessings and the trajectory of our lives will supernaturally be transformed into hope, life, and joy. Thinking and speaking positive words about our selves and others has power and effect to change negative into positive. This month re-train the brain with repetitive words of thanksgiving and watch your world supernaturally transform from fear into Shalom, the peace that passes all understanding.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:6-8
