Sharp and Strong

Is there someone who feels like a thorn in your flesh? Perhaps it is someone in your congregation or your workplace, a family member, or possibly even your spouse. Do you avoid the body of Messiah Jesus, seeking to avoid further emotional/relational pain?

Brethren, you are not alone, but we need to understand that conflict is actually to be expected. Being created in the image of God, we continually crave and need relationship because our God is a relational being. Ideally, His love is to flow through us toward one another. However, there is another spirit that operates within this world that works to separate us from God and others. It crops up when words are spoken that wound us, threaten our self-esteem, or cause us to fear. Yet, what Satan means for evil, God transforms to our good, as we love Him first.

Proverbs 27:17 speaks, “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Yes, Father God speaks that that “thorn in your flesh” that is triggering pain may be just the force you need to cause you to look upward to the LORD, and as you do, it will bring about your personal transformation. The Holy Spirit releases you to see yourself and others more clearly.

Yeshua wants to perfect us in His love.

He wants to speak into every one of your painful, “sharpening”, relationships in order to impart His love, healing and security into you. Release Father’s unconditional love into the broken ones around you, and as you do, the principle of “iron sharpening iron” will release Father’s Glory into your life!
