Share the Source of Your Hope

Share this:

“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
—Psalm 121:1–2

Ihave found that many Christians are afraid to share the hope of Jesus with others. They think they are going to offend someone or be rejected, but I have oftentimes seen the exact opposite to be true. When I’m in a restaurant, for example, and look for a way to lift up Jesus to the waiter or waitress, I have found that the majority of the time, the person is encouraged and inspired by what I share. Why? Because they’re struggling in life, and they need hope and encouragement.

The psalmist in today’s verse knew that God truly helped him. Messiah Jesus is the hope and help of the world, and we need to share His hope with others. More and more people are taking their own lives in this generation, and the ones committing suicide are getting younger and younger. How sad that we live in a culture in which we have young children, barely even teenagers, taking their own lives because they have no hope. Why is this happening? Because God has been taken out of the culture. He’s been expelled from the school systems. He’s been evicted from government properties. He’s been excised from businesses. He’s even missing from a lot of churches. The atmosphere is godless.

The psalmist truly experienced that his help comes from the Lord. He knew that as long as we have God, we have hope, because nothing is impossible with God. Don’t ever give up on God, beloved. The only place where there is no hope is in hell. As long as you’re not in hell you have hope. I want to encourage you to keep talking to Jesus.

Yeshua said, “Knock and the door will be opened. Ask and you will receive.” (See Matthew 7:7.) Beloved, don’t give up. Your hope is in Jesus. “He who believes in Him will not be disappointed” (1 Pet. 2:6).

“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth” (Ps. 121:1–2).

Father God, I ask that You give me courage to share with others the source of my hope. Show me strategies to share Your truth with those I come in contact with.
