He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
—Psalm 1:3
When God is our source, no matter what’s happening around us, we’re going to be fruitful because Yeshua said, “He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit.” This is why we must aim to root ourselves in God, because when we do, we can go deep into the waters of eternal life.
You see, God’s Spirit dwells beneath the surface. The atmosphere of the Spirit is complete peace, just as in the natural the environment at the floor of the ocean is calm. Even if there’s a huge storm on the surface of the ocean, everything is still at the bottom. The same is true of the deep places in God’s Spirit. As we choose to draw near to Him daily, the roots of our faith go deeper and deeper until we tap into a continual river of His living water and shalom. When we draw from this well, God’s peace and goodness can flow out of us regardless of what’s happening on the surface of our lives.
Beloved one, if we put Jesus first, we can be fruitful in HaShem no matter what we face. “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” So let’s put aside the distractions and truly make Yeshua Lord.
