May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
Though I avidly seek to take my thoughts captive and live in God’s righteousness, the LORD has a way of suddenly apprehending me to reveal deeper areas within my heart that need scrubbed clean. Recently during the night, within a dream, God apprehended me with a picture of my arm that had one blackhead and one ingrown hair. I felt strongly that this odd dream was from the LORD and looked to Him for understanding. I sensed the Holy Spirit showing me that the blackhead and the one hair depicted relationships and memories that I have cherished from my past. In error, I have presumptuously kept these past secular, fleshly relationships and memories as near and dear to me, when, in fact, the relationships and memories were in opposition to the Holiness of my Beloved Yeshua, who is now my Lord and Savior. With conviction, I quickly repented and agreed with the LORD that these are no longer cherished and held near and dear. I released them from my heart and left these relationships at the foot of the Cross.
Beloved, perhaps you, as I, have unknowingly reminisced and taken pleasure in old relationships and memories which are in actuality remnants of sins clinging to our soul that need rooted out. It’s time to repent and release them at the cross. Cleanliness, holiness and nearness to the LORD is so much sweeter than the old, vain and passing life lived apart from God!
