“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
— Hebrews 11:6, NKJV
In order to please God, we must first believe that He exists. We must believe that Jesus is alive and that God is real. And then once we accept that God exists, we must also believe He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
I want to encourage you today with this truth: God is watching your every move. The Bible tells us that the eyes of the Lord are running to and fro across the earth looking for someone who will be fully devoted to Him (2 Chron. 16:9). David said it was his endeavor to keep the Lord continually before Him (Ps. 16:8). I want to encourage you to cultivate an awareness of God’s presence in your life, that His eyes are upon you. He is alive. He is a God of love, and He is always aware of you.
God said to Jacob, “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go” (Gen. 28:15). And to David the Lord said, “I will counsel you with My eye upon you” (Ps. 32:8).
Be aware that God is watching you right now. He’s watching you every second of every day. He is not waiting for you to make a mistake so He can rain down judgment; He is looking for you to love Him with the same love with which He loves you. When you do, He will reward you—and the greatest reward of all is recognizing and experiencing the presence of God Himself in and around your life.
Father God, You are so worthy of my love and adoration. Thank You for this reminder that You are watching me and that You want me to come to You and fellowship with You and love You in return. Help me to seek You first.
