Throughout every day we are continually making choices. Reaching our 50’s and now 60’s, Rabbi and I have become acutely aware of how our choices of today critically impact our experiences of tomorrow. Choices to repeatedly sit out in the sun to develop a “beautiful” tan can later result in wrinkled skin and multiple skin surgeries for skin cancer. Choices to eat outside of a balanced diet, with products that are filled with sugar, salt, fat, and other “junk,” causes cardiovascular breakdowns, diabetes, and obesity. Choosing to marry an unbeliever can result in heartache. And choosing to follow what everyone else does results in the blind following the blind into destruction. So Beloved, be aware of your thoughts throughout the day, and continually transform them into speaking, “I choose life.” No matter what the decision is, filter it through “I choose life.” Whether it be a choice of what to eat, what to spend your time on, what to say to others, or what to spend your money on, Father says, “Choose Me, Choose Life.” The LORD, our Creator, has the owner’s manual to our entire being, and His goal for us is to prosper in every area of our lives. Making Him the focus, our primary relationship, and following His ways will ALWAYS result in our entire being prospering.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31
