“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

When God’s anointing upon us reaches a certain level of strength, it results in breakthrough. It becomes a breaker anointing, a type of spiritual power that arises within us in violence against the devil and his schemes. Jesus used force to drive out demons, raise Lazarus from the dead, and overthrow the money changers in the temple. This paints a picture of the breaker anointing. To get free of the demonic forces that torment us and our loved ones, we have to turn on the oppressor— so that the very thing that was hunting us down becomes the hunted. We need to go from being a victim to arising, breaking out, and becoming the victor—turning on Satan and the powers of darkness.

Remember, when we receive Jesus, we take on His likeness. First John 3:8 says, “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.” The breaker anointing will manifest when the anointing of Yeshua so takes possession of us that we naturally rise up to turn on the devil and exercise authority over the powers of darkness. This anointing will shatter the enemy’s works, remove hindrances, and create a forward path!

God wants our lives to reflect Him. We must have a “not-to-be-denied” mindset like Jacob had when he took hold of the angel and said to the Lord, “I am not going to let go until you bless me.” (See Genesis 32:22–31.) Beloved, breakthrough requires that you have this same winning spirit, which says, “I will have a breaker anointing, and I will pursue God until it is mine!”

When you set your intention on an all-out pursuit of God, you are going to get strong! When you get strong, you will be happy. You are going to enter into this breaker anointing realm. If you do not give up, you will get your breakthrough!

Father God, I will not rest until all Your promises of freedom and breakthrough are fulfilled in my life. My Messiah Jesus said, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Like Jacob, I will not let go until You bless me. I will walk in the breaker anointing, in Yeshua’s name.
