“Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”
— Isaiah 40:31
There have been times in my life when I just felt tired, as if I had no strength at all. I was so weary that I felt if God did not step in, I would sink. Have you ever felt that way? But Isaiah 40:31 gives us the confidence that if we just curl up in the Lord and hibernate there somehow, God will supernaturally impart new strength to our hearts, and as Isaiah 40:31 says, we will rise up again.
If you find yourself in a season when you have just run out of strength or of faith, and you feel you cannot go on, know this: you are not going to sink. Trust and believe that God is going to come to you again and rejuvenate you—that He is going to impart fresh strength and new revelation to you. He will be faithful to do so every single time.
So don’t panic when you go through those times of weariness or doubt. Don’t panic if you feel lost and as if you cannot go on. Father God is still holding you in His everlasting arms, and this scripture that Isaiah gave us thousands of years ago will be proven true in your life once again. You will mount up with wings like eagles. You will run and not get tired. You will walk and not become weary. In other words, God is going to refresh and revitalize you. He is going to be faithful to you, beloved. He is going to see you through to the end, and though you may stumble, because of Jesus you will never fall.
Father God, thank You for renewing my strength. You cause me to mount up with wings like eagles, to run and not get tired, and to walk and not become faint. Lord, I trust that You will see me through to the end and fill me afresh with Your Spirit.
