“For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

Beloved, God loves us even more than we can imagine, and He’s looking for you and I to love Him back—with our whole heart. Father longs to strongly support those that fully surrender their lives to Him and shower Him with extravagant love.

A great example of extravagant (whole heart) love is the story of Mary of Bethany.

“Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said, “’Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?”’ Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it. Therefore Jesus said, ‘“Let her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial. For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”’ John 12: 1-8

Beloved, Mary’s gift was extravagant! It was extravagant because she took action, not because she was compelled by somebody or someone manipulated her—she expressed her devotion, because she wanted to. It was extravagant because her gift represented her entire life, her whole heart. It was extravagant because she was so compelled by her love for Jesus that she gave herself completely—without regard to the cost or what others would think!

Let us be like Mary and give Him everything, no matter the cost, regardless of what people might say, and never look back. Beloved, to really do this, you need to make a decision to get on your knees and give yourself completely, without reservation, to Jesus. No holding back! No second thoughts! Jesus is coming soon. There is only an “hour” left. Let’s be ready!
