After He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, ‘I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will. Acts 13:22
David, a man after God’s heart, ventured through life experiencing a wealth of emotions, thoughts and fears in reaction to the tribulations of life. He prolifically expressed himself in his writings, and, because his thoughts and feelings are much like our own, David’s Psalms are therapeutic for us all. Emotional responses to life are not to be hidden from the LORD, but rather are to be felt and expressed to our Father. God is the Word, which means He is expressive and loves communication and fellowship with us, His children. As we humbly submit and express ourselves to our maker and Savior, Father’s heart is moved and responsive to our deepest needs. Reaching out to Yeshua and Abba Father is our best reaction to anything and everything we encounter in life. Let’s not hide and cover up our struggles, nor look to others as our problem or answer to problems. Instead, let’s freely cry out to Abba Father, and through deep humility and repentance we discover true love, relationship and answers from the Lover of our souls.
Nevertheless, I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand… My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever … the nearness of God is good for me; I have made the Lord God my refuge, So that I may tell of all Your works. Psalm 73:23, 26, 28
Love,
Cynthia
