“You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.”

—Psalm 32:7

Selah is a Hebrew word that means pause. I want you to pause today and meditate on this: The Lord is going to bring deliverance into your life. He is going to cause you to overcome every single obstacle that you face in this world. As you rejoice continually, you will overcome every obstacle!

The Bible tells us that we’re more than conquerors through Him who loved us—“that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:37–39).

So I want to encourage you to press on. It may be hard. It may seem as if you’ve been stuck in this place for a long time. Maybe it has been years. But I want you to know that if you cling to God, He is going to sing a song of deliverance over your life, and you will experience His victory. How do I know that? First John 5:4 says he that is born of God overcomes the world.

Beloved, nothing can separate you from the love of God. You are destined for victory. When it’s all said and done, His song of deliverance is going to be the identifying characteristic of your life.

Father God, I declare the truth of Your Word today, that if You are for me, it doesn’t matter who or what is against me. Nothing can separate me from Your love—not “tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or naked- ness, or peril, or sword” (Rom. 8:35). I am more than a conqueror through You, Father, because You love me. I thank You, Father, that “neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing” (Rom. 8:38–39) will ever be able to separate me from Your love. Your Spirit in me has overcome the world, and Your steadfast love for me will never cease!
