“… that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to give to your forefathers.” Deuteronomy 8:1

Beloved, God wants His people to live, increase, multiply, and go in and possess. He wants us to take more and more of Him. He is our land. Father God said to Abraham, “I am your exceedingly great reward” (Genesis 15:1). Father God wants to give us Himself and He wants us to be blessed!

I want you to know, child of God, you are a winner! God has great things in store for you. God’s purpose is that you are victorious as you continue to depend on Him—all the way to the top of the mountain. But, as I taught in Part 1 of this series, before Israel could take possession of this “full life”—they first had to go through their own personal wilderness. God has a great plan for your life. But, before He can bring you into the fullness of your inheritance in Him, He first has to strip you, humble you, and get you totally dependent on Him. Father has to wean us off of relying on all other things. He has to bring us to the place where we put Him first in our life. And then, when He gets our heart, our soul, and our thoughts in order, He can bring us into the abundance that He has for us.

I really want you to get this. So much of the teaching people hear today, makes them believe that God is just going to bless them and it is going to happen overnight. They do not understand there is a process to entering into the fullness of the blessing.

“You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you…” Deuteronomy 8:2

Why did the Father lead them in the wilderness? To humble them. To humble means to make one dependent, having one’s soul bowed low towards the Lord.
To walk in humility is to walk in dependency on God, and in reverence towards Him. Father was literally building humility in the lives of His people, through the process of, bringing them through the wilderness.

Humility is the foundation of God’s kingdom in our lives. This is why the first Beatitude says: “Blessed are the poor (humble) in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3)

Beloved, Do Not Waste Your Wilderness, praise Him throughout it, because your blessing is coming as He completes His purpose, in you, during your wilderness experience.
