Why does Genesis (1:27) say that God made man in His own image? It is because, beloved, He wanted to create a vessel that He could fill with Himself. He formed us in His own likeness so that He could share Himself with us. God is so overflowing with goodness, love, kindness, victory, splendor, strength, and power – and He wants to bless us with all of Him!

God created us in His likeness so that we could experience reality as He experiences reality. This is what a true relationship with Father is about. It is about experiencing His reality. God wants to share himself with us, but in order to do so, we have to first be convinced that He truly loves us.

Jesus took our sin, condemnation, and guilt out of the way. All that has to happen, to receive His love, is for us to open up our hearts and realize Father’s favor is upon us. He is not angry with us. Our sin is not in the way. He loves us. God loved you during your worst days, and His love has never, and will never, fail you! You have to believe that His love for you is unconditional. Beloved, we need to internalize His love for us if we are going to comprehend our purpose for being created in His image.

Beloved, we are here to come into unity with our Creator. Our purpose is to become transformed into His likeness and to come into harmony with Him. The real reason that we are here is to choose to put God first. We may be taking different roads. We may be coming from different parts of the world. We may have different occupations. Some are old, some are young, some are single, some are married, we are on different paths, but we all have the same destination – to come into unity with Hashem, to come into unity with Father God, through the love of His Son – King Jesus. God loves you more than you and I can ever know. He loves us so much. He is infinite. Father’s love is so broad, deep, and wide that it is immeasurable! He made us for Himself. Father made us in His image so that we can experience His joy, His victory, His reality, and His love!
