“Men of Israel, listen to these words…”
This was where Peter was challenging Israel with the Gospel of Yeshua. He was boldly confronting his fellow countryman with the truth (Acts 2:22).
Several months ago this same declaration became very personal to me as I was asleep in my bed – when all of a sudden, I heard over and over: “Acts 2:22, Acts 2:22, Acts 2:22…”
When I awoke the next morning, I began to pray: “Lord, what were You telling me?” I then opened my Bible to Acts 2:22. Instantly I understood what God was instructing me to do—focus all my efforts on His new assignment:
An Israel Awakening
Beloved, there is a new and prophetic anointing, a fresh fire for breakthrough on this ministry, to bring Jews to their prophesied Messiah. And I especially want all of my friends and partners to join with me on this. Imagine us together working diligently towards breaking through tradition, false doctrine and spiritual blindness in order to penetrate the hearts and minds of the Jewish people.
Let a revival come!
Jesus’ burden, His heart and His compassion, is to redeem His own flesh, the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Friend, you and I can share this burden. Let’s unite with the Lord through our prayers, hearts and actions to reach God’s first covenant people, the Jews.
Yeshua said to the Jewish people “You will not see Me until…you say ‘BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD’” (Luke 13:35). Together, with Father’s blessing and direction, we are going to awaken Israel, and in so doing, play a part in initiating the return of Yeshua.
In the book of Romans the Apostle Paul described the urgent priority of reaching his brethren—the Jewish people. In fact, three full chapters, 9, 10, and 11—are specifically devoted to God’s call upon the House of Israel. Paul carried an unceasing grief in his heart to reach them, to the point that he said he would even be willing to be separated from God, if his kinsmen could be saved.
“I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh” (Romans 9: 1, 2, 3).
We have no greater call, no more pressing Kingdom issue or no more time – we must confront the children of Israel with the gospel of Jesus – now!
Love & Shalom,
Rabbi
