Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you (Colossians 3:13).
During this time of year, when we see the candles burning brightly, let us remember and celebrate the reason our Messiah came. Beloved, Yeshua came that you and I could be forgiven and freed of every wrong intent of our heart and every wrong action we’ve ever taken. As He hung on the cross, He said, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do” Luke 23:34. Not only did He choose to forgive us, but He also taught us how important it is for us to forgive others (Colossians 3:13). Beloved, this is important.
Is there someone who still bothers you that you feel animosity toward? Is there a heartache of unforgiveness that plagues your soul? In this season, let’s join Yeshua on the cross to say, “Father, forgive them for they don’t know what’s going on; they don’t fully understand what they do. Yeshua, I can forgive them and let them go, because in You I find my healing and wholeness. In You I trust and know who I am. I can forgive them because they no longer have the power over my life that they did when I was weak without You. I am found in You, and I let go of everything in this world that has held me captive. I am free in You, and I am loosed from that which held me to this fallen world. I forgive them, LORD, let them go, and I choose freedom in You!”
Love,
Cynthia
