Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’ … Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it. Isaiah 46:9-11
From the microcosm of our personal lives to the macrocosm of our world and universe, God is in control. He has authoritatively stated it in Isaiah 46 and backed it up through supernatural phenomena as when He parted the Red Sea for the Hebrews.
So, as we head into this new year of 2026, let’s gain strength and faith by looking back to “remember former things long past.” What specifically do you remember that Father did for you in 2025 to keep you, guide you and reveal that He’s alive and still sovereign in transforming you?
The LORD, He is God (not us nor others) and He’s sovereign over every detail, completing His divine, eternal plans. He wants us to take note of His divine hand and operations in our lives. Every day, by the power of God and Yeshua within us, our stories keep being transformed into a picture of His eternal goodness and glory. So now remembering His sovereign hand in 2025, challenge yourself each day in 2026 to stay rooted in the truth of Isaiah 46:9-11. Hold these words in your mind and heart throughout the day. Post them where you will read and re-read them. These words will root you in the truth of the sovereignty of Yahweh God, your LORD, Savior, Redeemer, best friend, and the Lover of your soul, even in the darkest of days.
Love,
Cynthia
