In Acts chapter 2, we read about 120 believers that had come together in one place (Jerusalem). They were intently recounting how God had majestically revealed Himself to their ancestors on Mount Sinai. They were imagining the glory; they were picturing the fire; they were reminiscing about the thundering voice of God and the revelation their forefathers had received.
Then suddenly, what the God of Israel had visited upon His people over 1,500 years earlier materialized! The Lord appeared again, in an instant, revealing Himself with the same glory and fire that Moses and the children of Israel had witnessed at Mount Sinai.
“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance” (Acts: 1-4).
This day became known in Greek as Pentecost which means 50 because it comes 50 days after Passover.
Before Yeshua was crucified, He promised His followers that He would send them His Spirit.
“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me” (John 15:26).
Since that first day of Pentecost, all believers possess a power unlike anything else on this earth!
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you” (John 14:26).
Beloved, the Holy Spirit is living inside each one of us. He is here to guide us, teach us, help us, and comfort us. With God inhabiting us, nothing is impossible! The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in YOU! (Romans 8:11)
There is nothing to fear, no reason to doubt, and no ploy of the enemy that can defeat us.
“Behold, I have given you authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19).
We are invincible. We are conquerors. Our destiny is to reign forever with Him in glory!
We are supernatural beings!
During June, the Holy season of Pentecost/Shavuot, invite Father to interrupt your life with His glory and fire. Ask Him to change and refine you!
