Open Your Heart to Faith

Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
—Mark 11:24

Years ago when I was a teenager, I went to see The Exorcist. It was such a traumatic experience. I knew they couldn’t have made a movie like that if evil and demonic powers weren’t real. That film made me so afraid of being possessed by the devil that I would sneak into my parents’ room after they had fallen asleep and sleep on the side of their bed. I felt like Satan was right beside me. Fear gave the evil one access into my life.

I praise God that when I came to faith in Yeshua, that fear instantly left me. You see, even as fear opens a channel for the demonic, so too faith opens a channel for God’s courage to manifest in our lives. In other words, just as the devil operates through fear, so God operates through the channel of faith.

Beloved one, I want to encourage you today to close your heart to everything but faith and the love of God. Guard your thoughts and words so fear and doubt can’t gain a foothold. Seize God’s Word and don’t let anything else in. Fight the fight of faith. As you reject the thoughts of the enemy and say yes to God’s Word and Spirit, more and more of His power will be manifest in your life.
