God does not just put up with you—He loves and delights in you. Father celebrates you. He rejoices over you with singing, and His banner over you is love because you are His child.

Today’s verse reveals what a glorious privilege we have. We are heirs of God. That means God Himself is our inheritance, and He has given us His Spirit as a pledge of our inheritance. What could we want that is greater than God Himself? In Him is fullness of joy, peace, contentment, and satisfaction. Life consists not in the abundance of material things obtained; real life is found in the Holy Spirit. We have been made heirs of God. The fullness of life, joy, glory, happiness, power, and identity—they are all ours in Him! 

There is no greater inheritance than the inheritance of God Himself. He is our victory! As we learn to be led by the Holy Spirit, we not only receive His guidance to help us navigate this life, but we also experience the reality that we are the sons and daughters of Father God. And if we are children of God, then we are heirs of God! I want to encourage you to walk as a child of the Creator of the universe and pursue your inheritance—God Himself. We are on a journey and a quest!
