HE WILL SET YOU FREE

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.
—Isaiah 61:1

God is the most tender, loving person in the universe.

Father God sent Yeshua into the world because of His compassion for us. He yearns to touch us, heal us, repair us, and love us—individually, personally, and directly. Thus, Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would bind up the brokenhearted and proclaim liberty to captives. In Luke 4, Jesus began His ministry by reading from Isaiah 61 and, attributing this prophecy to Himself, said, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

Beloved one, Yeshua is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is currently delivering the oppressed and proclaiming liberty to those who are bound. Whatever in your heart has been broken, let Yeshua heal you. He is alive and with you now. Open your heart completely to Him, and He will set you free.

One of my favorite portions of Scripture is where Yeshua says, “And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free…So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” We have been called to glory. Our destiny is to feel and experience God’s bliss. As the ancient Westminster Catechism states, “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever.”
