For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
Recently I went on an adventure to jet ski with my husband into unknown waterways. I lacked experience with jet skis, and as we were preparing to take off, fear arose within me as I envisioned us breaking down and being stranded out under the hot, Florida sun, surrounded by alligators. I did not have peace until I meditated on II Timothy 1:7. After Yeshua died on the cross to remove the sin barrier between Him and I, Yeshua ascended into Heaven and He has released Himself, in Spirit-form, to live inside of me. Once this reality hit me, then the rest of the verse took form within me. I am not alone, and He goes with me. All heavenly, almighty power and resources go with me and before me. I dwell in the secure, unconditional love of the Beloved lover of my soul. And Father’s supernatural soundness of mind overtakes me to see and respond with peace, wisdom and clarity of mind.
With this shalom resting in my soul, Rabbi and I ventured off into unknown territories. We did indeed get stranded under the hot, Florida sun, surrounded by alligators that lurked beneath the waters, but Beloved, as always, Yeshua remained within us and went before us. He kept us in peace and in time gave us every resource required to be rescued and delivered, while also tangibly experiencing His love and glory throughout the adventure.
In every unnavigated territory that you find yourself in, meditate upon and carry II Timothy 1:7 as your tool to finding peace, strength and soundness of mind that passes all understanding. Venture out to encounter your faith going a little deeper and wider within your soul.
Love,
Cynthia
