“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
— Matthew 7:7–8
If we really believe the Lord answers those who call out to Him, we’re going to pursue Him. If we truly trust that if we draw near to Father, He’ll draw near to us, we’re going to reach out to Him expecting Him to reward us.
And what reward should we anticipate? Yeshua said, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” The greatest reward is to have our soul satisfied by truly knowing who God is. I’m talking about having a deep, abiding inner peace because we sought Father God and He brought our souls into alignment with Himself. I’m talking about coming to a place in Yeshua where we feel embraced, safe, and loved. And because we know we’re loved, we have confidence, which makes us happy.
Yeshua said, “He who believes in Me…‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” Beloved one, this is more satisfying than anything the world can fill us with. Amen? Let’s seek Father for the greatest thing of all: to know Him and who we are to Him. In discovering Him, we will find a well of living water so we will thirst no more.
