In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
—Leviticus 23:24
The Feast of Trumpets is a solemn reminder of the day when the children of Israel gathered at the base of Mount Sinai, and the holy God of Israel manifested His presence atop the mountain. The fact that the Jewish people have been celebrating this every year for over thirty-five hundred years attests to the reality that it did, in fact, happen. It is a historical reality.
In a similar way, Messiah’s return will be announced by the sound of a trumpet from heaven, and all humanity will witness it. Yeshua’s imminent return is a certainty, and Father God wants us to live in anticipation of it. This is the bedrock of our faith and why Jesus’ last words in the Book of Revelation are, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Let’s keep our eyes focused on His return and each day live in the light of eternity.
Beloved one, Jesus is truly coming back for us, and He will reward each of us according to what we have done. One day soon, there will be no more sorrow, pain, sickness, or heartache, but only eternal joy. We have this and more waiting for us. Yeshua is coming, and we will be with Him forever “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.”
