His Inheritance

Share this:

“But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7

Did you know that you are Jesus’ inheritance? Beloved, when Jesus gave His life on the cross, He did not just do it to forgive our sins, as important as that is; but even beyond that, He did it to purchase us for Himself. We are His inheritance. We are what He gave His life for. We are what He shed His blood for. It is because of us that He took the nails in His hands, the spear in His side, and the nails in His feet. He did it, beloved, to redeem us, to purchase us. God did not only send Jesus to the cross for your transgressions, but Yeshua died In order to marry you!

I want you to realize how beautiful you are to Him. You are truly magnificent to God. You are special and important beyond any words that I could use. He chose you for Himself. That is what Paul was praying for here:

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Ephesians 1:18

In fact, you are so remarkable; you are considered the bride of Christ!

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” Revelation 19:7

This is where it all ends, the marriage supper of the Lamb. This is the final culmination of God’s great plan of redemption—His children wed to His Son!

Beloved, what I am telling you is that you are someone special to God. Your importance, your value, and your significance are so much greater than any validation this world, or any person on earth, could ever give you. If we are depending on the world to tell us how treasured we are, if we are depending on someone to validate us, to give us a sense of significance, we are going to be disappointed. Neither the world nor anybody in it can ever confirm us in a way that measures how valuable we truly are to the Father. Only the Father loved us enough to sacrifice His Son in order that we would become His inheritance. That is and will always be—the ultimate act of validation.
